# 3 - Net Zero Dream-Land

ABC World News aired a "report" on May 2, 2013 by Jim Avila. The news report, partially filmed from Mexico City, Mexico had the intent of showing viewers the vacated towns of Northern Mexico. The bulk of residents in this area have chained up their homes and left for work, mostly in California, as illegals.

Then, Mr. Avila moves forward in his "report" to contradict his own efforts to show the chained doors of upper-crust Mexican residents who have left their town streets bare so they can illegally work in the U.S.A.

The next shot during the news report is of a woman in Northern Mexico.

Mr. Avila interviews this young woman who eagerly admits that she has decided to come back to Mexico instead of continuing to live illegally in America. Why did she come back to Mexico? She stated that Mexico has a better economic situation than the U.S.A.; she can live with more rights...as a citizen of Mexico; she won't have to live in fear of deportation while in the U.S.A. illegally; and she's back in Mexico because America has less opportunities these days and that means there is no incentive to be a wonderful illegal immigrant in the U.S.A.

Wow. The Mexicans are fleeing BACK to Mexico.

The point this reporter was trying to make was that the migration levels are now at "net zero" with 1.4 million Mexicans illegally entering the U.S.A. and 1.4 going back into their rightful country, right back where they BELONG.

Yet, I found it disturbing when this so-called reporter posed this question, "All of this begging the question for advocates for immigration reform of whether or not too much money is being spent on border security. Some 12 billion dollars a year. This is exactly the same time people...say more money should be spent (on border control efforts)."

Mr. Avila ends the report with his question which seems to suggest there is no reason to spend a dime extra on immigration efforts because the Mexicans are going back to their country at the same rate they are coming into ours. However, Mr. Avila seems to ignore one simple fact. No matter how many are going back into Mexico, the numbers still state that 1.4 MILLION Mexicans are still coming ILLEGALLY into this country.

Being from Texas and being privy to having direct information regarding criminal activity in the Greater Houston area as it relates to illegal immigrants, I cannot believe this reporter suggested that the Net Zero stats somehow completely negate the fact that illegal immigrants that are still pouring into our country, many with criminal intentions and questionable backgrounds.

It's obviously not important for Mr. Avila to advocate for more border security, but my city, which is part of the Greater Houston metropolitan area is not as fortunate, we must advocate border protection. Illegal immigration and the crimes associated with illegals is a serious concern for our city. Does Mr. Avila realize that these illegal immigrants obtain illegal identification and this makes it easier for the illegal to commit crimes and not be prosecuted? Once they are arrested, and put back on the streets while awaiting trial, these illegals easily disappear by simply starting over with a new set of identification cards.

The over-worked system soon realizes the accused was an illegal immigrant, or rather, I should say, an undocumented person carrying illegal documentation; therefore, the case and the VICTIM can never find justice because an elusive immigrant with changing identity is the perpetrator.

The Net Zero point is moot to the argument about protecting our borders. Just because Mexicans who are in this country illegally are now realizing that the economy in the U.S.A. is so poor that their incentive for staying is less likely, this does not mean that the constant influx of illegals is suddenly non-problematic.

Was Mr. Avila trying to say that no one should be trying to increase spending for border security because the Net Zero status essentially indicates a revolving door of migration? Is this supposed to be acceptable?

These illegals might be making decisions to return to their own country, but that does not erase the staggering numbers of illegals who are entering this country every day. What will it take for this government or for the elite media who are clearly more sheltered from the problems that come from living in an area heavily populated by illegals to realize that our country is a land of the free, but it should not be a land of illegal free-loaders who are partially supported by funds paid by law-abiding, tax-paying, legal citizens of this country?

Perhaps Mr. Avila won't mind if a truck-load of illegals pull up to his house and hook up to his electricity, siphons gas out of his cars and steals a few expensive things from his garage because this  is happening to the legal citizens of this country, especially border states who carry a massive burden of cost that comes with illegal citizens --- they make money off the economy, but the illegals do not pay their taxes. That's a big problem.

The citizens of the U.S.A. are watching their tax-dollars go toward supporting people who do not abide by proper immigration laws. Even more sad is that the mentality of this White House administration seeks to re-write the meaning of "freedom" in this country to include anyone who wants to step foot into it, even if those steps are taken illegally. I suppose that's because the illegals, with their illegal documentation are able to vote, illegally.

This administration along with blind, one-sided media outlets do not confront the entire story of illegals because they are afraid it will make them seem "intolerant." Those of us in border states cannot afford to be "tolerant" toward illegal entrance into our nation by those jumping fences, racing through a person's private property, or catching a ride in the back of a truck because that illegal individual may be desperate and you might become their next victim. Perhaps you will eventually feel the sting of an illegal's operations after they assume one of your dead family member's identity. What part of illegal immigration does this administration believe needs to be ignored due to the Net Zero status?

I remind Mr. Avila, 1.4 million illegals are still entering the country every year from Mexico.

Mr. Avila doesn't want to confront the victims of crimes committed by illegal immigrants. Perhaps those people should be a part of his so-called reporting of Net Zero migration numbers. Mr. Avila probably doesn't care if the illegal commits a crime, gets caught, gets released, then goes out and ditches his former alias and obtains new identification to continue onward with his crimes to negatively impact law-abiding citizens of our country. Many of the crimes cannot be prosecuted because the illegal can't be found to pursue the case.

And Obama allowed the release of untold numbers of illegal citizens back onto our streets because of his incompetent ability to budget this nation ever since his first term in office. For all the American citizens who were victims of those illegal immigrants released, I feel for them and can only say that it is better to keep a weapon on you for self-defense because our own government will not handle illegal immigrants in a manner that would keep Americans safer. When our government fails us, we must know how to protect ourselves. Since I do not see this administration as becoming any wiser, in any area, I believe we border state residents must be diligent to prevent crime by illegal immigrants, the best we can.

I would love to volunteer Mr. Avila's backyard as the pass-through for those 1.4 million illegals who are crossing into the U.S.A. Let's see, if, after one year of his backyard being open as a lay-over for these 1.4 million illegals, how he would feel about his so-called Net Zero report. After all, since we're at Net Zero, doesn't that mean the 1.4 million incoming illegals passing through his backyard won't really be an issue? Wouldn't that kind of make them invisible?

Gee, I have to appreciate the stupidity of some of these reporters. I guess if we were talking about currency, the Net Zero story would be a bit different, but we're talking about PEOPLE and they leave a trail. And I sure wish that trail would be across Mr. Avila's path so he would have a wake-up call. Well, I doubt Mr. Avila will ever wake up, he's in Net Zero dream-land.

I have a suggestion, why doesn't Mr. Avila just endorse the legal way to immigrate into the U.S.A. so that a Mexican person with a problematic background won't be illegally walking among us tomorrow.

Try going to the website https://www.usimmigrationsupport.org/immigrate.html which gives details regarding the immigration process. Many illegal immigrants avoid red tape required for any American citizen to enjoy our freedoms. I don't like doing my taxes every year, but it's required. Since, especially here in Texas, our low-income housing is flooded by illegal citizens, I think we should continue the fight to increase border security. Instead of paying that Coyote to transfer them into our country, let's hope more potential illegal immigrants will decide to go the proper route. Of course, reporters like Mr. Avila like to walk around talking about Net Zero, as if it means we no longer have an issue with illegal immigrants.

Mr. Avila, you aren't the brightest reporter on the block:  Are you? And ABC World News, the fancy "Net Zero" report does not erase the problems border states encounter as more illegals keep coming into their states to over-burden their state-system. Good job ABC World News for not understanding local level challenges that your "Net Zero" speech forgets to take into account. You are out of touch with the real people of the states that count with this issue...border states, so go back home Mr. Avila and let us deal with the realities of illegal immigration.

#2 - White House Insensitivity

The best of Obama's supporters and the worst of his enemies cannot help but pay attention to the constant double-talk that comes out of Obama's mouth.

The president claims to be such a huge advocate for children. The children in America are too easily victimized and Obama capitalizes on that fact by using them as political props. After all, he is a father...well...he might not really spend a significant amount of time with his own children and he may take vacations separate from them, any chance he gets, but he does have the title of "father."

However, this is the time of year when children get to take an exciting school trip. Many go to Washington D.C. to see a few of America's more iconic images. These trips are voluntary, each child's trip is funded by their own family.

In our family, years and years ago, we sent our oldest daughter on a school trip from Texas to Washington D.C. and the trip cost about $800.

These trips are arranged at the start of the school year, so for many months, these children study about and look forward to the sights they will finally get to see in person. Therefore, the families that are letting their children go on a school trip to Washington D.C. might be a lot like our own, making true sacrifices so the child can have the opportunity to learn a great deal while having fun. Many of these families are sacrificing their family vacation so this one child can go on this important school trip.

And this is where I feel sick --- the Sequestration has created cutbacks. Less money means changes are required to adjust to the cutback. I have found it appalling that the White House, the place that claims to LOVE children, is the place that has found it easiest to cut off children from tours.

Everyone knows the White House could have adjusted a cutback in another area so that the White House tours could continue, but Obama again used the children to try to make a point. There is no decency when it comes to his political grand-standing.

His administration didn't work hard enough to avoid this scenario that negatively impacts the children of our nation who are learning and who had been eager to see the White House.

He's created a generation of children who will remember Obama as being the President who closed the White House doors in their face.

White House tours usually end up with a tour of the East Room which is the largest room in the White House and is perfect for entertaining. It's a room perfect for big dinners, press conferences, or special ceremonies. This part of the White House tour is impressive because most children cannot imagine such a glorious room as the East Room.

However, with this Spring Break now passing us by and untold numbers of school groups and individual groups being denied the chance to see the White House, there are a lot of people saddened that their special travels did not include the White House. For many children on their Washington D.C. trip, this would have been their only opportunity to see the White House. But, does Obama really care?

I guess Obama figured that if all those kids could not get an eyeball full of the White House and the East Room, then he better go ahead an take advantage of the down-time because the East Room must have been looking a little lonely.

So, the President utilized his great wisdom and instead of allowing the children of this nation to visit the White House and to get a glance of the East Room after their parents saved money all year long, Obama thought it would be a good time and a fantastic opportunity, at least, for him and his elite group, to have a private bash in the East Room over this Spring Break week.

Heck, if the little children could not come to him, at least star-studded singers and Hollywood's glamour could make good use of that East Room. Oh, and the truth is...aren't singers and stars so much more fun than snotty-nosed little children making the carpets of the White House sullied?

So, this week, Obama and Michelle put on, yet another, intimate elitist party with a stage set for a very personal concert. Performers such as Justin Timberlake, Queen Latifa, and Al Green among others could cater their talents directly to Obama and Michelle who were sitting dead front center row and giggling as if they just robbed more tax-payers.

Of course, there will be people who make excuses about this private concert of 1%'er's being privately funded, but that still doesn't erase the fact that nobody provides security for the president except WE THE PEOPLE through our tax-dollars. And another issue...the East Room needed lights, special effects, sound system operation and the public bathrooms still needed water, soap, toilet paper and who knows what else is there for the taking at the EXPENSE of the TAX-PAYERS.

However, the worst part of all of this is that the East End room will not be seen by children who can never reverse time and re-do this one-time in their lives. Untold numbers of kids missed out on seeing the White House in person, and they missed out on getting to hold the image of the East Room in their mind's eye for the rest of their life.

However, our president, in all his sensitivity, showed great empathy by essentially throwing himself another big party in the room that America's children would have enjoyed simply glancing over.

Some kids who weren't allowed into the White House
on their tour of Washington D.C.

I suppose taking the White House away from the children worked out for Obama. Maybe he had other plans all along and didn't need our children in his way. The East Room apparently had some big plans in the making during Spring Break that catered to Obama, not the needy public. If Obama had the choice, let's think about it, Obama's chance to be with stars or Obama's chance to please deserving children of our nation? Hmmm.

Obama's need to feel special and privileged wins out! Surprise!

Did we really expect our president to be sensitive to the children on Spring Break this week who had studied the White House and had learned of the great East Room, but have been given detour sight-seeing options because of budget concerns? How do we explain to our children that this president doesn't seem to have the budgetary common sense to find a way to continue tours?

How can we explain to the American People that Obama is "serious" about these budget cuts, yet the next evening we see him, yet again, living it up in the White house. It's hard to comprehend that our country is experiencing such hardship and severe economic difficulties with high numbers of unemployed, yet our "sensitive" president talks about living in the White House with its cut backs, as if he's also suffering and then he blows his lies. H can't help it. He's not made to be Presidential; he's made to PARTY!

Another lavish party is no big deal to Obama...the dollar has unlimited value to a man like him!

Yet, the day after his lavish private concert in the East Room, he wakes up prepare to go stand in the Rose Garden to discuss the presentation of his laughable budget that is two months late and he then has the audacity to talk about how he understands the woes of Americans.

Geesh President Obama, go back to bed, we can all see that your night of partying and that your excitement at being a 1%'er star-lover has been overly tiring.

Somehow, I don't think he understands our woes. I don't think he's really lived a life of much woes at all. Most people who are blessed enough to received an Ivy League education are not too woe-landed kind of people, but he keeps trying to trick us into thinking he's suffering as well.

Somehow, I doubt that hardly anything Obama utters is true. And I am fairly positive he doesn't give a rat's ass about the children of this nation, except when it suits him.

However, I am fairly confident that Obama swoons over Hollywood and trips all over himself.

#1 - Obama, The Great Pretender

Obama's second term is confirming and highlighting the fact that this president is rather clueless about how to get things accomplished in Washington D.C. This president prefers to whip out the Executive Pen or make dramatic emotional-based speeches while using children as theatrical props instead of making a true attempt to work with Congress.

Presidents are supposed to set the standard, to rise above politics and honor our country's hard-earned freedom. Really, they are supposed to do such things.

Maybe Obama doesn't know how to behave presidential, so he does the next best thing...put on a shoddy act. I suppose all the theatrics is great practice for Obama to work on earning his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

More embarrassing for Obama has been the years and years of blaming Republicans. The plausibility of all of Obama's political woes being heaped upon the Republicans has lessened with each passing day that Obama holds the highest office in the land.

All of Obama's presidential complaining has stacked to form one big whiny blur of ineffectiveness. However, a shining side to our president's insistence that those powerful, mean, politically-line-backing Republicans don't let him do his really hard "transparent" job is that his never-ending excuses have become laughable.

At least Obama is providing some of America's top comedians with fantastic material. The comedians keep us laughing while Obama strives to keep us in tears.

It would seem that running a country is not exactly Obama's strong point. I think he should have remained a worker on a small-scale, on a community level instead of being a shot-to-the-top leader who is wasting White House space.

Since he can't very well pretend to be a great president, he finds it easier to pretend to be a star or to pretend to be a great athlete. He receives great coaching for all possible directions, but I think he would really love to play himself in the movie version of...

"America...Who Hurt it Worse...Obama or Usama?"

He's a great pretender, that is for sure.

In Obama-land, our president would rather birth his grand plans through orchestrated efforts predictable of a person with socialist tendencies instead of trying his best to work with the system, which means, Congress, as a whole.

Work WITH Congress? What a bummer for Obama! Wasn't this presidency about looking fantastic for those photo ops and to make up for his failures as a slick lawyer?

Didn't he imagine Congress to be in the group picture and after the camera bulb flashes, all the members walk up to slap Obama on the back and hand him a cigar as banners with Obama's face roll down each wall to commemorate the special moment. Wasn't that the Obama dream plan of how his presidency should have played out in the public?

Wasn't this president expecting his grand ideas to make him wildly popular as many of America's media-outlets spoon-fed cock-eyed reports of their "White House" buddy to the wide-eyed, mouth-agape viewing audience waiting to hear about Obama's next big promise to lessen that fading concept of personal accountability?

Weren't masses of people supposed to be falling over themselves to give thanks and screams of adoration to this president for saving their homes, their jobs, their health, their lives and their dog too?

Thankfully, in spite of Obama's best shot at lessening individual power by increasing personal dependency, in spite of his efforts to reduce state's rights, and in spite of every step he takes to over-run our country with mounting burdensome government interference...he is confronted with the fact that our country is still held together at strained seams by those who believe in our country's independence.

Way back during King George's attempt at subduing our budding country with his out-of-control taxation efforts, there were some people in our country who wanted to go along with OLD KING GEORGE, and these people were referred to as "Loyalists."

Of course, we know how this works out. Loyalists were more interested in compromising their freedom just to get that tea. Others were willing to pay a steep price to assert their independence from the King's rule.

Fortunately, for us, the "other" people of this great land would not let the Loyalists submit to the Mother Land, so we found ourselves in an American Revolution.

These days, New Age Loyalists are willing to blindly follow a president who behaves more like a "king" than a fellow citizen of this great nation. These New Age Loyalists seem to be willing to sacrifice freedoms already won by the blood, sweat, tears and hardships of our ancestors.

How can we agree to increasing government control, thereby creating the very entity that our ancestors fought to escape? How can we let the reason our country was founded be forgotten? Have we enjoyed the benefits of freedom so long that we have generations who cannot fathom a life chained to the government's whims?

I hope that these New Age Loyalists will soon discover what it means to be duped into believing that all that tea from the king comes at an extremely high price. Conservatives cannot fathom the stupidity that comes with the Far-Left being overly-willing to sell their soul for political promises that are Fairy Tale outlandish. Conservatives understand the reality of the hidden small print that is trying to hide the real price tag.

Conservatives understand the basis concept of, "You don't get anything for free." For those who believe they will be getting something for free...they need a wake-up call because the person footing that bill will soon come calling for payment or they will refuse to keep making the hand-out so easy to reach.

Let's not let Obama and the likes of him revert our country back into a clone of the Mother Land, a socialist oppressive existence from which people ache to flee.

Let's dump the tea overboard and dance in the streets with joyful freedom as Obama continues his game of pretend-presidency!
